_Daft Punk, a new album ?

For this poster, I used screen printing to highlight the nostalgia that Daft Punk evoke while suggesting the modernity of their new album "Cosmic Stereo Machine" (fictional). Indeed, the use of a very fine line pattern allows details and gives a modern aspect to the ancient and authentic process of screen printing. The duo is obviously in the foreground; their posture conveys a form of calmness and assurance.

The element behind them, a galaxy of three-dimensional sound waves, represents the album figuratively. The use of blue and mauve in a shifted pattern creates a glitch effect and suggests the digital side of this album.

As part of the connected promotional campaign for the album, the poster features a QR code that acts as a teaser. Scanned by fans who come across the poster, it will take them to exclusive content that will reveal clues about the project and make it even more anticipated.

The album logo reinterprets the codes of the old stereo cassette such as the use of different typography, the variation in text sizes and the presence of lines to give structure. Just like in the poster, there is an  interplay between nostalgia and modernity.
